Membership Services System for GAYC, SECA and NAEYC

All 3 organizations work together in membership services to offer you more timely and efficient ways to join, renew and receive your membership benefits. Journals from both NAEYC (www.naeyc.org) and SECA (www.southernearlychildhood.org), discounts on conferences and trainings, newsletters from GAYC, insurance options, state-of-the-art information - what more could you want for just $65 annually to join all 3 organizations? Membership is one of the best bargains around for your ongoing professional development. If you want to add 6 additional books from NAEYC, the cost is $100.

Methods of Renewal : Electronic and Credit Card Options

MEMBERSHIP  RENEWAL

The heart of the system is an online membership management system. Members have the option of joining or renewing NAEYC online at www.naeyc.org/membership. You can pay your dues online by credit card and receive immediate confirmation that your membership has been received and processed. The information will be automatically provided to your state affiliate (GAYC) and the regional (SECA) organization. Due to technological advances members can expect to receive membership benefits in a more timely fashion. For example, your first issue of Young Children will be mailed within one month of receipt of payment.

Several features are included in the online system. Members may choose to join up to five different Affiliate combinations. If you live in one community but work in another, you can now easily join both groups. You can also use the online system to check the status of your membership payments and to check mailing dates of your national benefits. You can also update your address online using your membership ID # on the address label of your Young Children journal.

If you don't have Internet access, don't worry. All members will receive a renewal notice by mail. However, please note, the renewal form and your payment should be returned directly to NAEYC, not your Affiliate Group. NAEYC is outsourcing its membership processing functions to provide you and your Affiliate Groups better service. This change will allow your Affiliate to spend less time on processing membership payments and more time on providing valuable membership services.

Interest Forums

Members can also use the online system to register for NAEYC Interest Forums. Interest Forums are groups of NAEYC members who share a common interest related to NAEYC's mission. Interest Forums create ongoing learning communities through listserves accessible from the NAEYC Website. It's a great opportunity to network and share ideas with other NAEYC members about critical areas of concern. Examples of interest forums include infant and Toddler, Family Child Care, Student, Research and many more specialized Interest Forums. You are sure to find one that meets your needs. Interest Forums also meet in conjunction with the NAEYC Annual Conference.
